Creativity comes at all times. I no longer make the mistake of self-censoring or denying it when it arrives. Let it flow, receive it, have fun with it. No idea is too small to be joyful and worthy.
Art is about ideas. It’s about listening intuitively. I suspect that making a practice of rejecting ideas out-of-hand is bad juju and is to be avoided.
